Drytech manufacture a range of Rotary Drum Stucco Applicators in sizes of 600mm to 2000mm diameter, for use in both hand and robot dipping applications.

Our applicators are manufactured to meet the specific requirements of our customers and the range of refractory equipment to be used.

The Rotary Drum Stucco Applicator utilises a drum fitted with integral flights which when rotated carries refractory material to the top and discharges the material onto a vibrating screen. The material rains down to the base of the drum from where it then recycles.

This action not only facilitates the recirculation of a comparatively small quantity of refactory material it has also been found to have a lower energy consumption, less heat gain and material means of conveying.

The simple design and operation of the Rotary Drum Stucco Applicator enables long term usage with the minimum of maintenance.

Units built for hand operation are fully guarded with static internal drums fitted with electrical interlocks on the removable material trays to ensure safe operation. Applicators designed for use within robotic operation are fitted with all the necessary robot safety and guard fence interlocks to ensure safe operation with a reduced mechanical guarding requirement

Rotary Drum units are generally manufactured from mild steel fitted with stainless steel material flights and sleeves. If required, the units can also be constructed so that all components that come into contact with the stucco material are manufactured from stainless steel.

Hand & robotic dip applicators have the drum supported between two wheeled shafts with tyred wheels running in channel tracks around the circumference of the drum. The drum is driven by a helical motor/gearbox unit driving one of the supporting shafts via an adjustable chain drive arrangement. The setting of material flow is controlled by an electronic speed controller.

The upper a lower material sieves are easily removed for cleaning. Special emptying and loading facilities can be provided to suit specific applications.

Robot units can be fitted with a stucco contents monitoring device to provide low material level indication and robotic interface.
