AUTOMATED CERAMIC FIGURE DRYING Designed to provide continuous production drying of delicate ceramic figures in one hour this drier produces ware ready for the kiln. The system is PLC controlled, providing accurate drying conditions together with energy saving operation and handling system co- ordination to automatically match production levels. The system designed, manufactured, installed, commissioned and maintained by Drytech is one of the many innovative design concepts enhancing an every day production process. A further example of improvement of a process is this batch drier for the drying of tea pots prior to firing in the kiln. The controlled temperature and humidity profile and specialised air distribution reduced the drying time requirement to almost half of that provided by the originally employed method. Pressurised or vacuum ovens are often required to allow accelerated removal of soluble materials from products without distortion or excessive temperature gradients. In the oven shown, high temperature soluble material is removed from the product and condensed into cold water, recovering the material for re-use within the process, efficiently recycling an expensive material.
